Art Auction With Impact
December 5, 2015 at the Fort Mason Center Firehouse
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Art With Impact announces ART AUCTION WITH IMPACT, an evening of fine art and live performances, all benefiting SF-based Art With Impact, a nonprofit that works with high school and college students throughout California to reduce the stigma around mental illness through the power of art.
ART AUCTION WITH IMPACT will begin with an exclusive Preview Party for patrons who want first pick of art offerings and, later on, the main event — an art auction with performances by New York rapper Alejandro Adam and DJ KenDread, all for an affordable entry fee of only $10. This event is family friendly and will be held at the historic Firehouse in Fort Mason Center.
This event provides access to fine art purchases, with a wide range of prices starting at entry level for prints and going into the thousands for originals of well-known artists’ work. Timed perfectly for the holidays, attendees may avoid the generic shopping mall experience for a lively, unique social setting with creatively inspired gifts of art. Moreover, all art purchases will result in a donation to Art With Impact (AWI) with proceeds directly benefiting students throughout the state.
All art has been donated to support the cause of promoting mental wellness by creating space for young people to learn and connect through art and media. Funds raised will support the organization’s 2016 programming for over 1,000 high school students throughout California.
Event Organizer, Iqvinder Singh, leverages his deep community ties as an Artist and Art Director, along with the AWI Board and staff’s connections, to curate a compelling art show for this important cause. ART AUCTION WITH IMPACT will include selections from artists including:
Anastasia Bespalova, Ari Bird, Constanza Blondet, Mark Bode, Susan Chen, Chip Seven, Christine Cho, Jennifer Davis, Mike Davis, Nathan Davis, Deadeyes, Else Oner, Erica Gentry, Jennifer Guernsey, Kacia Palmer Hogan, Josie Mattson Designs, Danny King, Justin Kumph, Ken Light, Susannah Mira, Morning Breath, Aditi Raychoudhury, Albert Reyes, Eddie Rodriguez, Centa Schumacher, Jasmin Sehra, Nerjis Asif Shakir, Iqvinder Singh, Mike Bam Tyau, Robert Vonkepner, Joseph Wright and Jennifer Wurz
“This is a great opportunity to buy art from local and international artists and support the mission of this great organization” Singh says. The event is expected to offer over 40 piece of unique artwork and welcome 300+ guests throughout the evening.
