Eileen Van Tyne

I specialize in burnout, blocked creativity and loneliness because I know all of those things. I’ve worked in corporate and tech settings for most of my career and spent several years working from home. I found that creative expression, movement and in-real-life contact were the antidote to feelings of disconnection and burnout.

I earned my Masters in Counseling Psychology in the Expressive Arts program at California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. My expressive arts training and experience includes Narrative therapy, movement, sandtray, sound healing, visual arts, and drama therapy.

Prior to Grateful Heart, I worked as an expressive arts therapist intern at Contra Costra Regional Medical Center, and as a group and individual counselor at the Oakland Adult Rehabilitation Center.
