Janette Valenzo
Janette Valenzo (she/her/ella) is a bilingual queer Chicana actor, poet, teaching artist, Tarot reader, and mental health advocate based in Southern California. She’s been published in several literary journals and writes a monthly career Tarotscopes column. She was last seen on stage as Doña Sebastiana in the West Coast premiere of “The Hall of Final Ruin,” produced by Ophelia’s Jump Productions. She also works with various nonprofits on arts and mental health education, including Art With Impact, who she is thrilled to always collaborate with.

Her debut poetry book, “Before I Say Goodbye,” was published April 2022 by Alegria Publishing. The poetic play invites the reader into the story of an Aries Brujita & classic Virgo crashing into each other in five acts. “Before I Say Goodbye” is the roadmap for anyone who has ever been afraid to leave a relationship.

She attends USC for a Master of Education in School Counseling and holds a BFA from NYU Tisch. She’s a Swiftie who really enjoys getting lost. For more on her work, visit www.janettevalenzo.com.
