Eryn Tonaj

Eryn Tonaj’s mental health story starts when she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 22. Through her journey, she learned the power self-resilience, emotional awareness and family support. These were gifts that were offered to her in recovery, however, her aunt Denise and brother Daniel took their lives a year apart from each other while in pursuit of mental health. Since their deaths, Eryn has began to advocate at mental health events where she shares her personal experience to motivate and empower people with mental illness to reach out. Currently, Eryn is an Early Childhood Education Student at Conestoga College and works at an Early Childhood Education Centre where she is known for her silly songs, fishing stories, her love of nature, and awesome dance moves.
