Dr. Dave McIntyre

Dr. Dave McIntyre is a licensed and board certified Clinical Psychologist. He retired after a combined 30 years of active duty service in the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and U. S. Public Health Service. During his time in the U.S. Public Health Service, he worked with the Indian Health Service, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and the Division of Homeland Security. In addition, he led behavioral health response teams responding to national and international disasters such as the Indonesian Tsunami, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Ivan, the Sandy Hook School Shooting, and suicide cluster responses to Indian reservations.

Following his retirement from uniformed service, Dr. McIntyre continued his consulting psychology practice. Additionally, Dr. McIntyre serves as a Subject Matter Expert in Native American Behavioral Health, Forensic Psychology, Suicidology, Serious Mental Illness, Behavioral Health Program Implementation, and Sports Psychology.

Dr. McIntyre has observed firsthand our culture’s stigmatization of those seeking mental health services. As a result, he has worked to improve access to mental health services across various populations, including the military, the homeless, Native American communities, incarcerated men, professional athletes, victims of crime, and the seriously mentally ill.
