Wish You Were Here

A short film about a war wife who makes video diaries for her husband…who may or may not be watching.

This film was inspired by the issue of veteran suicide. One of the actors served in the Air Force, and the film is an artistic representation of this terrible stastistic. Soldiers who try to reintegrate into civilian life find it difficult when impacted with PTSD and other mental illnesses. 50% of all impacted veterans do not seek any kind of treatment. When a life is taken, it is the family and friends who are left behind to deal with this grief, and the cycle continues.
