Strike Out
Strike Out is a short 3 minute film based on ideas surrounding depression. This short drama is filmed through the use of shadows with a dark feeling, created by using minimal light in scenes and the powerful light of the match, and touches on a deep and meaningful issue many people face in todays society.I wanted to create a film that many people could relate to and draw parallels to their own lives and situations, where it could act as a means of positive inspiration for them. I want my film to spark a positive change within my viewers, and stress the idea that it is important to live in the present and not to ‘dwell in the shadows of memories passed’. For everyone that watches my short film, I hope they can leave the screening feeling uplifted and inspire to make a change on the topic of depression.
