Puerperal Psychosis – Hannah’s Story

After giving birth to her first child, Hannah suffered from Puerperal Psychosis, a severe mental disorder affecting 1 in 1000 new mothers in which contact with reality is lost or highly distorted. This documentary tells the story of how Hannah and her daughter prevailed over the illness through the love and support of her family. The aim of the film is to increase awareness of the illness, yet also to act as a reminder to those suffering with the psychosis that things will get better.
