Five Years On
An intimate portrayal of living with deep trauma.
Even though Anna was a strong woman, a recognised psychotherapist and specialist in PTSD, she found herself caught out by an abusive partner.
Five years on from an assault that left her severly injured and hospitalised, Anna opens up her deepest self in this intimate and simple film.
Anna allows us to see the duality. The continuing pain, the soul level exhaustion of healing and the surface that others see where everything is OK.
It took Anna tremendous courage to open in front of the camera, a film that was difficult and challenging to make, in spite of its simplicity.
