Clovis Community College presents: Movies for Mental Health

Movies for Mental Health is a 2-hour in-person workshop that is designed to be a place of refuge for Black students. Knowing that Black humans in North America face unique and specific barriers to mental wellness, this workshop provides a place for them to be seen and heard, both collectively and individually. Movies for Mental Health is an arts-based mental health workshop that focuses on empowering young adults, educators, health professionals and community members to gain a better understanding of mental health within their environment.

The event also connects students with culturally competent mental health resources available to them, empowering them to seek support and heal as individuals and communities.

While this event centers Black students, all campus community members are invited to attend. However, comments or participation from allies that pull focus away from Black mental health will be respectfully redirected.
